Vern Brown is a scenic and props artist with five years of professional experience. Vern graduated from Wright State in 2019 and has been working and honing their craft ever since.

Being employed at a theme park brought a lot of unique opportunities and allowed me to learn about the other positions involved in live entertainment. I love being able to help out with projects for various departments, from sorting costume pieces to learning how to wire lighting! In my position I am able to see projects through from concept to finished product and all the way through the production run. I have improved my skills in various painting and building techniques including worbla sculpting, wet blending, texturing, and color matching.

Recently, I was also a composites fabricator at 3DX. There I was able to build my knowledge and skills with high quality and durable scenic elements. I challenged myself to learn every technical skill available to me so I am able to work on projects from concept design to final details before shipment.
